On Monday Crowfall released another news update for us. However its not really anything new and won't interest most people but I will do a breakdown anyways :).
This is a departure from our usual every-other-Wednesday schedule for Founders’ Updates in order to share some exciting news.Sounds good!
As you might recall from previous updates (i.e. Founders’ Update: State of the nation, Founders’ Update: The Crowfall budget question), we are finalizing an additional equity financing round in ArtCraft Entertainment (which is a fancy way of saying, "We are selling additional investment in our company.")Not much to say here other than you can buy more investments in their company (now?).
We set out to raise around $1 million, to add more resources to our Crowfall development plan. We believe that applying more resources (faster!) could make a significant difference in the eventual success of Crowfall -- a huge win for both our company and for our backers!Crowfall is telling us that us spending money into backing this game will help them speed up everything and make the overall quality and success of Crowfall better. Although I don't want a game to be rushed because sometimes it could very well ruin it, I think what they are trying to do here is different from what other games do. Which is: instead of rushing it and making everyone work faster to get the game out, they are instead using our donations to apply more resources which in turn will make everything go a lot faster.
Our fundraising efforts have gone extremely well! The response has been so overwhelmingly positive that we've already raised over 70% of our target. To finish out the remainder, we are working with an Austin, Texas-based syndicate called Moonshots Capital. Moonshots is going to offer the remaining $300k to accredited investors via their AngelList syndicate with a minimum $5,000 investment.This is just telling us who is investing and the amount of the investment. Also we have raised 70% of our target which will surely help.

This update was just stating mostly investment and financial information which isn't very interesting but it does help Crowfall become a game that hopefully we will love!
